It's Time.

It's that particular time.

My strength is sapping.
And my heartstrings are snapping.

Remember me, when you.... crash.

.

Crash (The Ocean Blue)

Unfortunately, I can't find a link to the entire song. This band means so much to me.

Your lovely daydreams
from the back of youth
You metamorphosed
and then off they flew
Remember me,
when you fall
remember me,
when you
Crash
Your soon tomorrow
in front of you
Holds lovely daydreams
from the background
view
Remember me, when
you fall
remember me, when
you
Crash
Your soon tomorrow
in front of you
You metamorphosed
and then off you flew
Remember me,
when you fall
remember me,
when you
Crash

Hey guys... where is Thor?

That's right. They've taken away THOR. First they took away competitive sports (which I don't mind too much, because it relieves me from having to turn down people who invite me to sporting events), but really, our MASCOT?! He's gone, that's right. Because without competitive sports, who needs a mascot? So at AskBYUI (part of Student Support... sometimes we do designs for them), they had a phone call asking, "So... where did Thor go?" Well, here's to you Mr. Thor.

Let me also just say that I disapprove of generals in college. Their only purpose seems to be allowing students to waste time while they're figuring out what they really want to do. Then they get to a point where they do know, and suddenly they still have to fulfill generals. Even though college is only 4 years long, and you've spent TWELVE years of your life doing "generals." You'd think they'd let us study what we want after twelve years. But that would be far to uncontrolling of them. Uncontrolling isn't a word. But that's how I wanted to word the sentence, so...

You know.... ok, I'm already bored with my next sentence. Forget about it. I love Immi. "I knew that I would get like this again, that's why I try to keep at bay... you're 100 percent when you're with me, and then, a perfect heart's length away." She has a beautiful gift for classy quirkiness. Ok. I'm done here. I hate it when I write blogs about NOTHING. That's basically every time, but.. everyone once in a while I write something semi inspirational. Not this night. Is it possible to be very good at appreciating beautiful things but inept at creating them?

since feeling is first
who pays any attention
to the syntax of things
will never wholly kiss you;
wholly to be a fool
while Spring is in the world

my blood approves,
and kisses are a better fate
than wisdom
lady i swear by all flowers. Don't cry
--the best gesture of my brain is less than
your eyelids' flutter which says

we are for each other: then
laugh, leaning back in my arms
for life's not a paragraph

And death i think is no parenthesis

The Labyrinth of the Spori

I have been a Comm major for 8 semesters, and I still get hopelessly lost on 2nd floor of the Spori. That seriously has to be the worst designed building ever. You might think that I'm joking when I say that EVERY SINGLE TIME I'm on the 2nd floor of the Spori I get lost, but I am absolutely serious. I feel like an idiot, especially when I pass the same person twice. But every time I think I'm at the exit, I realize that I'm about the enter the men's restroom or the art gallery balcony.

Remind me why they tore down the building and then rebuilt it exactly the way it was before? Maybe they should have considered some reasonable changes.

Is that a cake or a purse?

Before I begin, I just need to post this video.... to remind the world of this awesome song. Because I love it.

Secondly, frosting sucks. That's the first of my points. Or, the second, I guess. Now, when you have a craving for cake (which I rarely do--I'm more of a pie person), what do you picture? Do you picture princesses and real-life objects and cartoons? Because if I ever have a craving for the normal fluffy type of cake, it's for a storebought box of Funfetti cake (baked to the perfect moist-icity), with Rainbow Chip frosting on top. Never in my life would I picture what most cake artists make today.

I think that the cakes made today for special occasions are probably 20% cake, 80% fondant. Now, understand, I have nothing against the cake artists themselves. They are clearly very talented. Yesterday, I was speaking with a friend who informed me that she started her own cake business. She gave me her business card. Today I looked it up. She definitely has talent with cakes, and I was pretty impressed. But, I can't understand what person would commission her to make some of those cakes. Feast your eyes:

That HAS to be real pleather.

Every part of this is edible. Couldn't they have just bought them a real bottle of wine? Who asks to have a cake like this? But, excellent! I've always wanted edible grapes! ....Hm.

Photos taken from www.sugarmethis.com. She's really good, so go ahead and try her out if you have an event coming up.
