The Downfall

At work, we have some cobwebs. I noticed a beetle struggling in these webs and decided to take a video. It was fascinating to me that this giant, heavy beetle was caught by the tip of one leg, and was struggling enough that he could not get out. When I returned a few days later, he was dead.

A tiny, almost invisible thread of spider silk was enough to cause the downfall of a creature at least 1000 times its size.

We protect ourselves from what we think are real threats. But it will always be the little things that get us. A wrong path taken in life comes from a series of subtle unwise choices that started somewhere. The little things will make us weak, the little things will make us strong.

"It is nobility of character, that fabric of inner strength and conviction woven from countless righteous decisions, that gives life its direction."  -Richard G. Scott
